The VEXO X-POT® is an award-winning, patented side-stream filtration system designed specifically for closed loop hydronic heating, chilled-water, and condenser-water systems.
The X-POT combines several important system-protection functions into one compact unit, including:
- Magnetic filtration
- Fine filtration
- Air and dirt separation
- Chemical dosing capability
The X-POT’s magnetic filtration captures ferrous contaminants such as iron oxide, while its fine filtration removes non-magnetic debris, suspended solids, biofilm, and other contaminants. Depending on the model and filter configuration, filtration can reach as low as 0.5 micron.
The X-POT also removes entrained air and microbubbles from system water, helping reduce corrosion and cavitation while supporting reliable system operation. Its integrated dosing capability allows water-treatment chemicals to be introduced directly into the hydronic system.

Built for New Construction and Retrofit Applications
The X-POT can be incorporated into both new construction and existing HVAC systems. Its side-stream design allows filtration and water treatment to occur independently of the primary system flow, making it particularly well suited for retrofit applications.
Because the X-POT can be isolated and serviced independently, routine maintenance can often be performed without shutting down the building’s primary heating or cooling system.
